Walking in the Light
*** This devotion is an addendum to “IF FAILURE WERE FATAL, WE WOULD ALL BE DEAD!”
Most of us have found ourselves in situations and circumstances that we would not choose for ourselves, whether we have failed, someone has failed us, health has failed us or others things have presented us with obstacles that darken our journey.
John 8:12
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Even as we encounter our darkened moments, Jesus’s everlasting light remains for us to embrace. I am not saying that there is not grief in our losses, but I am saying while we might be temporarily going through a darkness, His light remains there for us. We must choose to walk in His Light.
Walking in His Light means that we show up for Him so we become available to “listen, to hear Him” while staying in and living in His word. Our actions/reactions show in our witness of His light to others . . . that even as sinners, we try not to join the sin or darkness but reflect His light.
