Rev. Nate and Julie Ware

What happens when we get saved. We form an alliance, devotion, loyalty and allegiance to God and to the teachings of His Word. We also are to wear the cloak of His Spiritual Love and Compassion, to not only “receive but also to give”.

Remember how proud a parent is to announce that their daughter has become a cheerleader. That cheerleader has also formed an alliance and allegiance to the school and the team to do their very best in representing them, and the student body as a whole.

What if they stopped in the middle of their performance to talk about the team, their friends or the people in the stands . . . How disruptive and dishonoring would that be. Would they be doing their job?

It is the same with us Christians . . . when we stop our cheerleading of each other to wag our tongues negatively about another, we have shot nails in our alliance, devotion, loyalty and allegiance to God and in our cloak of compassion.

We are to reflect the spirit of the Lord. He would never wag His tongue about us but gather us close as He exhibits His unfailing and everlasting Love. This is job one as Christians to look at each other and care for each other through the eyes of God’s Love and Compassion.
