A true day of Pentecost at Shades of Grace. Uplift church served a delicious meal to our community friends. During worship we enjoyed good inspiring music, two testimonies, holy communion, a spirit filled message, and 2 baptisms by profession of faith.
Pray for our congregation and friends of the community. Addictions are rampant and so many travel the path of least resistance. Before worship today, we noticed a trail of blood drops through the building, originating in the men’s room. Someone told me a guy cut his foot. Sadly, we know the routine. Folk shoot up with the needle between their toes where marks are difficult to detect. People are dying from addictions and substance abuse. We are zero tolerant in the building for safety. Yet, as the song says, ” Where could I go but to the Lord?” Lord, we need that Pentecostal boldness to share life giving hope of Jesus the Christ!
We welcomed Tony and Jimmy into the church today through baptism. Praying for them.
Jimmy said,” I had a shower this morning , but this felt so much better!” Today marks 70 baptisms at this storefront church called God’s Living Room.
