Want to know a little something about me? I’m covered in scars, both physically and certainly spiritually. Aren’t we all?
Our scars are something that we shouldn’t ever be ashamed of why? Because they tell a story about us and the battles we are in or have come through. It also means that you’re not a bench warmer and that you’ve been in the fight!
Scars mold and shape us into warriors. You’re not born a warrior. You are made into a warrior by the trials and tribulations that you come into contact with be they in the physical or spiritual worlds.
The devil doesn’t want you or me to come to the realization of truly knowing that we are warriors in the making!
Let me reassure you that when you are on your knees before a living all powerful and all knowing God, there is no better place to be! It is Not the end, it is, in reality, the beginning!
A warrior friend of mine, we were talking one day and he told me that when the Lord comes back he wants to be found with chinks and holes all in his armor. Bloodied, with mud all over him, standing with his face towards the enemies of the Lord. That’s the way the Lord wants all of us to be found. Strong, Bold, on Fire, and in the Fight!
The bottom line is that a scar, in reality, is summed up in this scar acronym:
S – Second
C- Chance
A – At
R – Restoration
I’m living proof that the God I serve is a giver of not only of second and third chances but many, many chances. Why? of Jesus Christ understands mine and your scars. After all, he was wounded for our sins. Our scars were placed upon His body and He stood in our place, taking all the blows for us. He didn’t have to do that! That’s why you and I should never be ashamed of our scars. God can heal us of them, as a matter of fact, you see, He already has, to this very day Jesus has scars upon His body as the proof!
1 Peter 2:24
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed!”
