“How Can One Be Warm Alone”

We feel the cold of winter outside. If we didn’t have heat inside, we couldn’t stay warm. It is just as important that we connect with the One who Keeps Our Soul affirmed and warm.

Throughout the Bible and in daily life, we are reminded that we cannot travel alone . . . that we need God’s Word to lead us and His comfort to warm us.

In Psalms, David failed many times but called on the Lord to warm him. David knew that without God, he would be cold and alone.

Genesis 33:15
And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.

2 Chronicles 20:17
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.

Psalm 40:17
But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

Isaiah 41:17
When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

Luke 17:5-10
“And the apostle said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamore tree, be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken, and afterward thou shall eat and drink? Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things that are commanded, say, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which was our duty to do.”

Matthew 12:35-37
“A good man out of the treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give an account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shall be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

Deuteronomy 15:10
“Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.”

Matthew 10:42
“And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.”
