Ephesians 2:19
Now therefore ye are no more strangers
and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints,
and of the household of God;
“Sheltering-in-place” has overnight become commonplace. As people respectful of our fellow citizens, we stay home. This can become a blessing, as we consciously turn our places of refuge into households of God. With sheltering, we can turn our homebound hours into bonuses, whereby we can devote more quality time toward personal prayer, Bible study and devotional Bible reading. As the Apostle Paul wrote, we are not strangers of things spiritual, but familiar with the workings of God.
We don’t know the ending of this unsettling national emergency. But we do know Who is ultimately in charge. “Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.” (Psalm 147:5)
Please know, my precious Christian flock, that your Pastor is praying for each of you, and for all whom you hold beloved. Together, we will most certainly find our way home, for we confidently travel forward into the unknown with our God who knows the way. “Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” (Joshua 1:9)

Finally, please keep in mind that however long our faithful compliance in meeting our nation’s medical emergency may be, your church’s expenses continue right along. Continue to support your Depews Chapel ministries, by regularly putting aside your regular tithes and offerings. Thank you!
