Romans 8:32
God’s Eternal Good News From the Cross
1.) The Cross is evidence of God’s Love. The Cross shows the extent to which the our Saviour cares about our total wellness: Body, Minds, Souls and Spirits. At the Cross the Father and the Son suffered as no other has ever suffered. “But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
2.) The Cross accurately reveals our most necessary need . The Cross of Calvary sees beyond our masks, and reveals the exact nature of our real problem–sin! On the Cross our willing Saviour was willingly beaten, spit upon, and nailed to a criminal’s sentence. Jesus Christ knew, and knows, the moral cancer of our sin, which would otherwise claim we whom He loves. “Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:”(I Peter 2:24)
3.) The Cross is full payment offered in our name. The Cross shows how the Lord God removed our moral and legal indebtedness. “For he hath made him to be sin for us; who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (II Corinthians 5:21)
4.) The Cross clearly exposes every excuse. On the Cross of Christ, it was forever thoroughly revealed on what basis we can accept our cure for sin-sickness, while all-the-time believing and trusting the our Christ implicitly! (Romans 10:1-13)
5.) The Cross is an explanation of why anyone would reject such a divine gift. The events leading up to the crucifixion of Christ reveals the motivation in our own hearts. Those who crucified Christ were driven by envy, and an even a willingness to side with godless Gentiles to satisfy their desire for self-protection and self-rule. “For they knew that for envy they had delivered him.” (Matthew 27:18)
6. The Cross is God’s solution for rising above selfish motives. The Cross clearly shows God’s power. It was as Christ humbled Himself so as to trust the Father and to love others, even to the point of death! God gave Christ all the enablement he needed to accomplish his task of redeeming the world! (James 4:6-10)
7.) The Cross reveals a precedent for future divine assistance. The Cross of Calvary emphatically shows why we can trust God for all of our needs. “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”(Romans 8:32)

“Who Am I” sang by Diane Bloomer
“Who am I that The King would bleed and die for?
Who am I that He would pray not my will, but Thine Lord?
The answer I may never know;
Why He ever loved me so,
But to that old rugged cross He’d go
For who am I?”
