John 14:3
Heaven…Forever MORE!
Heaven: a prepared place for a prepared people. Heaven…a place where we meet Jesus, where He will be expecting us…ready to welcome us as one of His very own, according to His promise as we find in John 14:3, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
But first we must give up this one earthly-bound life, to inherit our forever life, but we are assured it will happen. “Verily I say into thee,” we see in John 23:43, “today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” For the Apostle Paul, although death would separate him from his body, death would take him to where he longed to be. “We are confident, I say,” he wrote in II Corinthians 5:8, “and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to present with the Lord.”

It’s evident at that instant, in the twinkling of an eye as we pass from this world to into the next, we will see Jesus! At a time when our body is at its very lowest ebb, without strength to continue, more helpless than we have had ever been, we will become more fully alive than we have ever been! All of our lives will seem to be leading up to this moment when we will be with the Lord Jesus Christ! We’ll be finally, fully, happily home, from where we’ll never desire to return anywhere else!
There’s even more! At the moment that we see Jesus face to face, exactly as He is, you and I will too marvel at His nail-scared hands; His spear gashed side; His crown of thorns scared forehead; and we will likely fall at His feet, proclaiming, “My lord and my God!” John 20:28
He’ll reassure us with a small but powerful gift, a white stone, as revealed in Revelation 2:17, “He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.” A new name, assuredly guaranteed to cancel our sense of unworthiness.
Read Isaiah 62:1-4
And even more! We’ll instantaneously feel a love as we never before! We’ll understand that Christ Jesus has not only saved our immortal souls, He has saved us for himself. We will thoroughly know ourselves in the light of Jesus’ love! II Corinthians 4:2 will take on a new truth, “But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handing the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.”
And there’s MORE, much MORE! We will be rewarded, not because we deserve it, but because Jesus is God Himself! Mark 9:41 explains it, “.,.,because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.” Matthew 25:23 certifies it! “His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
