Christ in the Alphabet – E
Good morning. This is Judy and today we continue our Christ in the Alphabet devotions with the letter “E.”.
Have you ever heard the saying “Nothing lasts forever?” Well, that isn’t true. Christ lasts forever – He is Eternal. Time does not exist for Christ because He exists outside of time. He is forever and there is no end in Him. He is Ever-present with us. He is the Everlasting Father, who offers Everlasting, unconditional love, and He is the giver of Eternal life. His name, Jesus Christ, is to be Exalted far above all gods. Ps. 18:46 says: “….let the God of my salvation be Exalted.”
Christ, our Everlasting Father, because of his love for us, gives us the choice to have Eternal life for Eternity. Eternal life cannot be bought, but only received as a gift. Christ is our Everything. All that we are and ever hope to be, we owe it all to Christ. Christ is Emmanuel – God with us – Ever-present. Christ is also our El Shaddai. El means God and Shaddai means almighty. Therefore, El Shaddai means God Almighty. He is the God who is more than Enough!
So, with Christ, we have Everything we need. He is the Example we are to follow as we go from day to day. We are to offer his Everlasting love to all mankind and to tell others that they too can have Eternal life for all Eternity as a gift from the One who makes all things possible. God Almighty – El Shaddai.
Let Us Pray
Lord, you love us with an unconditional, Everlasting love. Help us to follow your Example and Encourage others to do likewise. As we endure the hardships of life, remind us that these things don’t last forever, but that You do! You will always be with us – our Emmanuel! You are Everlasting to Everlasting. Thank you for the assurance of Eternal life given to us through the shedding of the blood of Jesus. I pray that Everyone, Everywhere will accept this gift of Eternal life for all Eternity. We thank you and Exalt you, Lord, God Almighty – El Shaddai. In your name, we pray. AMEN
