Matthew 17:20
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
“Faith Like a Mustard Seed”
Faith the size of a mustard seed . . . Grinding up mustard seeds for some recipes, I realize how absolutely tough these little seeds are . . . So having faith like a mustard seed also means an extra strong, tough and steadfast faith. It means having faith when there seems to be little hope.
A friend called me last night and said you will not believe what’s in my garden . . . “Beans”. Through the years she has saved seeds from her beans for planting. In the past few years she hasn’t had time . . . So she froze her bean seeds . . . But Alas! This year she took them out of the freezer and planted them . . . Having faith that they might still germinate . . . Guess what? She has a garden full of beans!
Seeds of faith, mustard seeds, seeds of beans and other seeds . . . give us hope that the faith that we put forth will grow ever stronger and germinate our gardens of hope . . . and move stubborn mountains.
Matthew 17:20
“And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”
