JUDY DEAN – BIBLE IN ALPHABET
Christ in the Alphabet – “I”
Good morning. This is Judy. Today we will be looking at the letter “I” as we continue our devotion series – Christ in the Alphabet. Christ, the Lord, is “Immutable” – unchanging. He is the same – yesterday, today, and forever. His character will never change. He will always help us when we need it and offer forgiveness when we fail. Jesus Christ is our “Intercessor.”
1 Timothy 2:5 says that “We have an advocate, (intercessor), who pleads our case before the Father. Christ is also the Great “I Am.” This title describes his eternal power and unchangeable character. In a world where values, morals, and laws change constantly, we can find stability and security in Jehovah or Yahweh, which means “I Am.” Because Christ is the “I Am” – we are. We are his children, we are loved, and we are made worthy of many things.
Let Us Pray
Let us pray: Lord, We thank you that because you are the Great “I Am”, we can trust in your immutable or changeless character. You have sent an “Intercessor” through the Holy Spirit to be there for each of us. Lord, today we are to intercede for others as we pray.
Today we pray for all those who are suffering the passing of a loved one, those with addiction issues, and all those suffering from all illnesses and diseases, especially those dealing with covid, which is very real and still present in our area and all around the world.
Lord, you tell us in your Word if we call upon your name, humble ourselves, pray and seek your face and turn from our evil ways, then you will hear from Heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land. Lord, this is our prayer as we pray to you, Jehovah, Yahweh, the great “I Am.”
AMEN
