Christ in the Alphabet – “P”
Good afternoon. This is Judy with our weekly Christ in the Alphabet devotion series. Today we will look at the letter “P.”
Christ is more than a Priest or a Prophet. He is God himself. He is the “Passover Lamb” who shed his blood to save us from the penalty of death brought upon us by sin. Christ will always “provide” our needs, but not always our wants.
Trust Him to provide for you every day in every way. Christ is the God of “Promise” and his promises bring about real “Peace.” He is the “Prince of Peace.” Christ is “precious” and “perfect” in every way. How precious is He to you? If we want to live a “perfect” life, we should follow Christ’s example. Christ is “patient.”
We need to trust and obey Him, for He is in control. Christ is the “potter” and we are the clay. Christ wants to reshape us into a valuable vessel to be used for his kingdom. We need to be willing and receptive to God’s “potter’s” wheel as He remolds us.
Let Us Pray
Lord Jesus, Teach us to be patient as you reshape us into vessels that can be used for your kingdom. Give us the peace that comes from your promises to each of us. You are our priest, our prophet, our prince of peace, all this and so very much more. You are our precious and perfect Passover Lamb, sent to save us from our sins. Please forgive us when we fail to obey your commandments. Heal the sick and give comfort to the bereaved. In Jesus’ name we pray.
