“Live in the Palace of God’s Love”

“The spider taketh hold with her hands and is in king’s palaces.” Proverbs 30:28 KJV

Spiders and ants can get into places that most of us would never be allowed to enter, but they walk right on in and set up housekeeping and have a picnic. I am sure that somewhere in the White House there is a spider all tucked away on its web. It did not campaign to get there. The little creature just took hold with its spider hands, made a web, and called it home.

We too can live in the palace of God’s love. We need not impress anyone, and we need no one’s vote or approval. Jesus alone is all we need.

The Bible says: “Take hold of the eternal life to which we are called” (1st Timothy 6:12).

Solomon praised the spider for “taking hold with her hands.” That act caused the little creature to be called wise upon the earth. She did not say that it could not be done, nor did she procrastinate. She just put her hands to the spindle and made a home.

Why would God give us these words? What is the lesson for us to learn? The Lord has called us to live in God’s Kingdom. Have you experienced the feeling of being at home in the presence of Jesus. Christ has offered us abundant life. Some have claimed it but have never really taken hold of it. Others have taken hold and discovered the true meaning of living by faith.

Eternal Life is an expensive gift from God. It is to be claimed and experienced now, not just after we die. Have we taken hold of this glorious way of living or are we putting it off until later. Today is the day of salvation, then let us live as saved people. This is the day that the Lord has made, then let us rejoice and be glad in it. We were born to live in the Kings palace.

“You couldn’t have told me I’d find what I found
Contentment and peace from above
Feeling at home in the presence of Jesus
Laying way back in His love

Warming myself by the fires of His spirit
Camping right close to His throne
Just feeling at home
Feeling at home.”

Grace and Peace, Rev Ray
