THE ASSERTION OF CONFIDENCE
“And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.”
“2 Thessalonians 3:4”
The Apostle Paul talks about THE ASSERTION OF CONFIDENCE
After calling upon the Thessalonian believers to pray faithfully for his ministry and personal safety, Paul’s thoughts turned to the faithfulness of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The apostle always took his eyes off his own problems and focused them upon the character of his Savior and Lord, the ultimate source of his assurance.
His heart was filled with joy when he reflected upon the exalted Son of God at the Father’s right hand, and remembered that He had promised to meet their needs.
The Lord Jesus would strengthen His people, guard them from the evil one, and lead them to do His will. But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil.
