Proverbs 3:5-6
“Confidence That the Lord Will Lead”
We can be confident that the Lord will give His servants inner strength and guard us, but also know that He will lead us to live righteously.
We can believe that the Lord will direct us to obedience. And we can have confidence in the Lord. God will work in such a manner that we will respond to His commands.
God’s Word gives instructions to His servants and holds us responsible for obedience. We must exercise our wills to do what God commands, and, when we do the right, we must recognize that it is through “His Power” that this is possible.
As a result, we dare not boast about the good things we have done. We must give God the glory! It is then we can look forward to the future with confidence!
We must be obedient and diligent in service, but at the same time, our confidence is in our assurance of the Character of our Savior, not our own strength.
