Galatians 5:14

“For the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”

“A STRANGER YET TO MEET”

He’d leave early each workday morning for classes, One afternoon he found this note on the seat of his car as he prepared to leave for home:

“This is the third time this week I have turned off your headlights. I’m about to leave the area. When I leave this area, who will take care of you?” The note was signed, “A Friend You Have Yet To Meet.”

We’re are all Strangers who are friends ready to meet. We have all been strangers, in one way or another.

The author of TREASULE ISLAND made a comment on this thought: “We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we find in our travels is an honest friend,” (Robert Louis STEVENSON.)

Doing good for others makes, and keeps friendships. When we live for others, and make a serious attempt to never seek personal advantage, doing good for others is almost natural. And it doesn’t take a lot of time.

In making friends, we are offering ourselves to God for the happiness of others.

Sometimes practical things don’t just happen, like being treated friendly, and being listened to or being taken seriously.

Friendliness and Happiness is presenting to each other what the Bible calls faith, hope, and love (I Corinthians 13:13)

Kindness keeps the friends we have. Find the best in each person and help bring out the best in them. Pray for them that God helps them make the changes that only He can author.

Love and cherish the good in people. Apply THE GOLDEN RULE OF FRIENDSHIP:
Listen to others as you would have them listen to you!

Don’t let each other’s opinions matter . . . They are just declarations or decorations . . . Not the substance of the soul.

Let the Bible have the last word. “For the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” (Galatians 5:14)
