Matthew 6:34
“Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself,”
“Hurry Up and Wait”
As we commute, travel, grocery shop or have appointments, sometimes the theme is:
“Hurry Up and Wait.”
And that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Think about it. Staying in one place or getting ready to sit for awhile, might be just what the doctor ordered when problems are thundering into our lives.
We’ve all heard of someone saying in one way or another: “What should I do.” “What do you think I should do.” “I’ve done all that I can. Nothing works.” “What do I do now?”
“Maybe nothing is the answer at times.”
It’s really a good idea, to calm. Psalms said “Be still and know.” God will show you a wonderful power and a light right within you, to help you renew and restart again.
Jesus said, “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself,” (Matthew 6:34).
Jesus also said in the Gospel of John, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free,” (8:32).
Sometimes the truth about ourselves is that we are all very complicated, and we don’t know everything about ourselves. But God does, and loves us, in spite of ourselves.
Give God a chance to speak in His “still, small voice”. His voice is mightier than the thunders of personal trouble.
“Hurry Up and Wait for God”. The Lord knows us better than we know ourselves. And He has something mighty important to say that we need to hear.
