FEEDING ON GOD’S WORD
And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
Deuteronomy 8:3

A large T-Rex could put 520 lbs of food in his mouth before swallowing it whole.
We are sooooooo different! The biological logic for us humans is: Approximately 80% of our digestion happens in the mouth. We are reportedly supposed to chew each bite around 20 times before swallowing.
It is the same as we read the Bible “with the Lord”. The understanding is a process over time. Chewing on the Word awakens our awareness and helps us digest and store God’s Word.
We are not Saved and done! When we are saved, our signature is given to the Lord to take a journey with Him. It’s going to test our faith; a bumpy ride. Keeping hungry for the Lord is a challenge when He is the Driver and only by Faith can we see Him.
Faith in the Word of God . . . Faith and Believing in His promises . . . Leaning on His direction and our communication with the Lord . . . Our digestion of His Word and His Love for Us – All these things will go toward His completing His desires to make Himself known to us.
We are not like T-Rex swallowing 520 lbs of food or God’s Word at one time.
