Hope in Jesus Christ
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: But be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
“It is in times like these when I have to remind myself of the promises that the Lord made to us over two-thousand years ago. We live in a fallen world, that’s the cold, hard, facts of the matter.
Jesus, when He lived and walked upon the earth, knew this all to well. He was abandoned, abused, falsely accused, beaten, whipped, and nailed to a cross! No other person ever suffered at the hands of men like Jesus Christ! Did that make Him weak? For a moment in time He became weak for us. However, compared to eternity He was Certainly Not! He overcame death!
Just think for a moment, what it took to keep Jesus Christ from coming down from that cross and destroying all of mankind in one single breath. That my friends was a feat of tremendous self control, and LOVE, THE GREATEST LOVE…
This morning, I want to give PRAISE to Jesus Christ for staying upon that cross and giving us HOPE for Eternal Life for all of us if we accept Him as our Lord & Savior.
Jesus had this to say in John 16:33 – “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: But be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
For a sinner like me, that gives me HOPE in Jesus Christ…….
