2 Timothy 1:12
“I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”
“I Know Who I Believe In”
It is a wonderful day when faith grows from “I hope” to “I know.” This is more important to us than we may think. When I live on an “I hope so,” I am frustrated with pesky doubt trying to slip into my mind.
Our lives are bombarded with people and social standards that challenge our Christianity and the things we believe. Even most difficult is when other Christians judge our lives by their own standards. For some this is unnerving, but when you know who you are, and whose you are, you can let their accusations roll off like water on a duck’s back.
Friend, if you are in Christ, and He in you; you don’t have to give it a second thought when someone challenges your faith, or church. Many times the devil has shouted in my ears that I am not a Christian, but then the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit says, “the blood of Jesus has taken away your sin, and you too are a child of God.”
I am sometimes asked, “Can you know that you are saved?” Absolutely, I may doubt a lot of things about my life, but not my salvation. After all, its in The Book:
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.” John 5:13
“Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchased of God
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.”
Grace and Peace, Rev Ray
