Saul asked him, “Whose son are you young man?” David said, “I am the son of your servant Jesse of Bethlehem.” 1st Samuel 17:58
“I am a child of God,
I am a child of God;
I have washed my robes in the cleansing fountain,
I am a child of God.”
There are a lot of discouraged Christians these days. Many are facing giants of their own. That is why it is of utmost importance that we can answer the question, “Whose son, or daughter, are you?”
Friend, you are a child of God, and you can face anything that is in your path today! Don’t give up! Your Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills; in His house there is bread and enough to spare. “No weapon formed against you shall prosper…This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD.”
Now is the time to claim who we are, and to know whose we are. We received God’s Spirit when he adopted us as his own children. Now we call him “Father.”
“Now I’m a child with a heavenly home. My holy father has made me his own – And I am cleansed by his blood, and I’m clothed in his love – And someday I’ll sing with the angels above. I’m a child of the King.”
