The Fair Market Value of Our Souls
Fair Market Value is “a price a willing, knowledgeable, unpressured buyer is willing to pay to a willing, knowledgeable, and unpressured seller.” Jesus was willing to shed his blood for my soul and your soul.
Don’t be deceived by Satan that the price was divided between the billions who live or will live. Had I been the only sinner in the world, Christ would have had to die for me. Had you been the only sinner in the world, Christ would have had to die for you.
If God and Christ placed such a high value on our souls, how much more should we value them? “For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?” (Matthew 16:25-26).
