All Roads May Lead to Rome

At the peak of Rome’s development, no fewer than 29 great military highways radiated from the capital, and the empire’s 113 provinces were interconnected by 372 great roads. The whole comprised more than 250,000 miles of roads, of which over 80,500 miles were stone-paved.

The phrase “All roads lead to Rome” implies that one can reach their destination from multiple directions, traversing various paths. That may be true of earthly cities, but there is one road that leads to the City of God:

 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6)
 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
 “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time (1 Tim 2:5-6).

Many roads will get you to religion, but only one road will get you to heaven.
