The problems accompanying church growth threatened to distract the apostles from the word of God to serve tables.
Tossed about and battered by the winds and waves, we struggle helplessly, trying to keep our heads above water. We may cry out, “Lord Jesus! Save me,” as did Peter, but double-mindedness keeps us clinging to the floating debris of self-sufficiency instead of reaching forth for the Savior’s outstretched hand. This kind of doubt is debilitating and can spread through the camp like a pestilent flu virus.
