Christ in the Alphabet – Letter: F
Good morning. This is Judy with our Christ in the Alphabet devotion series. Today we will talk about the letter “F.”
First of all, Christ is our Heavenly Father. He is also our Fountain of living water who quenches our thirst forever and gives us eternal life. When the Lord is our Fountain of Life, we can turn away from the source of spiritual death. Christ is the Foundation of our Faith under which everything that makes life worth living, possible. The Foundation of a person with contagious Faith is the Word of God. People with vibrant Faith cannot help but share what is revealed to them through the Scriptures.
Make sure your Foundation of Faith is in Jesus Christ and not in people or in a building. Build your house (your life) upon the solid rock (Jesus Christ – your true Foundation). God’s protection of his people is limitless and takes on many forms. One of which is a mighty Fortress or a place of safety where the enemy cannot follow.
If you need protection, look to God. He is Faithful and will always be there for each of us. Christ is also the truest Friend who sticks closer to you than a brother. He is a friend to everyone, believers and nonbelievers. He is a Friend that you can call on any time.
Let us pray: Lord, You are our Heavenly Father, our Friend, our Fortress shielding us from the enemy, the Forgiver of all our sins, and so much more. When you Forgive us of our sins, they are Forgiven, Forgotten, Forever. Help us to build our lives upon you, our sure Foundation, in this unstable world in which we live. You are the Fairest of 10,000 and the Fountain of Life. Lord, you are Faithful and true. Help us to be as faithful to you and to others as well. In your name, I pray. AMEN
