Christ in the Alphabet – “M”
Good morning. This is Judy. Today we look at the letter “M” as we continue our Christ in the Alphabet devotion series. Christ is our “Mediator.” He is the only one who can stand between us and God and bring us together again. Just as “Manna” fed the Israelites, so Christ is our daily bread, or “Manna.”
A “Master” is one who trains, shapes, and molds his apprentices in the finer points of his craft. With Christ as our “Master” and by following Him, we can enjoy new life and learn how to work for Him. Christ works “Miracles.” Miracles are happenings that demonstrate God’s power.
Almost every miracle Jesus did was a renewal of fallen creation in those who are desperate for re-creation. Christ is the “Melchizedek” of the New Testament. Melchizedek was a priest of the most high God – Jesus Christ. Christ is “Magnificent, Marvelous, and Merciful.
Let Us Pray
Lord, As we lift up your name, we acknowledge you as our Master and our Messiah. You alone are worthy of all our praise. Fill us with your Word, our “Manna” and help us to be more like you.
You are magnificent, marvelous, and merciful. We worship your Majesty and bask in your beauty. Forgive us when we fail you. Help us to be the people you have created us to be. In the name of Christ, our “Messiah” the most holy and anointed one, we pray. AMEN
