JUDY DEAN
Christ in the Alphabet – “T”
Good morning. This is Judy with today’s Christ in the Alphabet Devotion series. Today we will look at the letter “T.” The smallest organ in our body, yet the one that can do the most damage or hurt the most is our tongue. We need to have a controlled and caring tongue. Our Thoughts should be pure as they reflect our character. Christ is the Truth and the reality of God’s promises.
Christ is our Teacher from God. His Word teaches us that we should lay up for ourselves Treasures in Heaven. We will be tempted, tested, and tried just as Christ himself was. Temptation becomes a sin only when we give in to it and disobey God. When facing trials, troubles, and tribulations, remember these things happen for a reason and a purpose.
Testing is God’s way of refining us for use in his kingdom. If you ever feel that a task is too heavy for you to bear by yourself, remember you can call on Jesus any time. He is never too tired to listen and to help. Let Him renew your strength. He is our Tower of strength.
The church is a living Temple. Christ is the head and we, as believers, are the body. One lone body part is useless without the help of other parts, or members, of the body. It takes Teamwork to complete many Tasks in our churches today. Practice Teamwork and watch God work!
Let Us Pray
Lord Jesus, We praise you and thank you for being our perfect teacher as we travel through life. Help us to keep the 10 Commandments you set forth in your Word. Our life is a living testimony.
May the love of Jesus shine through to others around us. We thank you that because our sins have been forgiven through the shedding of your blood on the cross, when we reach our final destination we can partake of the Tree of Life and live forever.
Forgive us when we grow tired and weary and fail to obey your Word. Give us the much needed strength we need to press on. In the name of the Trinity – God, the Father, his Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, I pray.
AMEN
