Christ in the Alphabet “A”
Today I am starting a new Bible Devotion series called – “Christ in the Alphabet.” Christ is the “A” and the “Z” and everything in between. Let’s start with the letter “A.”
Jesus is the “Alpha” – the beginning and the end. He is also our “Anchor.” We should hold steadfast to Him as we face the storms of life. He is our “All in all.” He is “Awesome” and “Amazing.” He is “All knowing, caring, and loving. He is the “Answer” to all our questions. He is our “Advocate.” He is the “Almighty.” And He is also “Abba” – an Aramaic word for Father. God sent forth the spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba, Father…wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
As adopted children of God, we share with Jesus all rights to God’s resources. As God’s heirs, we can claim what He has provided for us – our full identity as his children. Because we are joint heirs, God has already given us his best gifts – his Son, forgiveness, and eternal life. We may not always feel like we belong to God, but as Christians we are a part of the Family of God.
When you pray, call on “Abba” – Father, and be thankful that you are a family member.
In Jesus’ name,
AMEN – which means “So Be It.”
