They call these the Golden Years; but, instead, the name should be: The Years of Perseverance.
Anyone over the age of 60 or 70 knows that these years must be “infused” with Gold.
What is Golden? It’s finding God the first thing in the morning when one awakes to conscious breaths. When we praise Him because even though one might feel like rolling over and staying in bed, He is going to be with us to walk with us.
He is our Father . . . And He does what parents used to do when we were a baby, and taking our first steps . . . He is delighting in us, and cheering us on. This is Golden.
Exercise and Diet . . . These are infusions into our Gold . . . God’s watching our efforts, and He is blessing us. God is the Author of Transfiguration, Transformation and Perseverance. What would one ever do if He had not set His Model in place for us.
Proverbs 8:30-31
“Then I was beside Him, as a master workman;
And I was daily His delight,
Rejoicing always before Him,
Rejoicing in the world, His earth,
And having my delight in the sons of men.”
