Peace – Definition

A. The absence of war or other hostilities.
B. An agreement or a treaty to end hostilities.
“negotiated the peace.”
C. Freedom from quarrels and disagreement; harmonious relations.

Most of us are so fortunate that in our areas, there is the absence of war, which is not the reality for many.

Hopefully, we are free of disagreements and enjoy living in harmony.

Some feel worry is their enemy . . . It’s like a war within ourselves.

Yesterday, someone asked me if I worried about . . . “No,” I said, “It’s one day at a time and finding joy in each day is a constant pursuit toward peace.”

John 14:27, states, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

Another comforting verse is Philippians 4:6-7, which encourages believers to present their requests to God, promising that “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
