Job 33:4
“The Spirit of God has made me,
And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
“Breath of God”
The “Breath of God” symbolizes God’s life-giving presence and power. In the Bible, the Holy Spirit is often described as the Breath that inspires, animates and empowers believers to live according to God’s will.
On this rather cold day in the South, inviting God’s Breath and Presence into our home, our heart and our surroundings, can warm our hearts and heal our minds and bodies.
In Genesis 2:7, God breathes life into Adam, illustrating the illuminating connection between God and humanity.
In John 20:22, after His resurrection, Jesus breathes on His disciples, saying, “Receive the Holy Spirit,” the imparting of spiritual life.
These aren’t just isolated incidences reserved for Biblical Characters or specific occasions. God’s Breath of Life is an open invitation to us all (Always, every minute), warming our day and our hearts while renewing our souls, hearts and bodies.
Who wouldn’t want to respond to God’s invitation to come closer to Him, and have Him Breathe more of His Breath of Life into us?
Job 33:4
“The Spirit of God has made me,
And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
