“Julie Ware – Don’t Give Into It”
From February 20th, 2024

When first starting to exercise, decidedly, the exercises would be things that could be done into older age. There were no aspirations to be a runner, to body build or be a trainer. I just wanted a quality of life, and to keep in some kind of shape. It’s been said that only 10 minutes each morning will go far to enhance mood and blood flow.

Have to confess that the mood to do it doesn’t always embrace me and sometimes I don’t feel like it, but do it anyway.

When growing up with growing pains, mom would say, “Don’t give into it.” The last few years she was with me, and we both had some bad days, our “Mantra” became, “Don’t give into it.”

My dad had rheumatoid arthritis. When I was very little, I would be looking out the window to see him out in the garden crawling to tend the crops.

On my grandmother’s last day, she was preparing to preach.

Someone told me recently that I had more gumption than they did. By example, I had to learn not to give in . . . And Nate and I are very thankful for friends and family who pray for us.

Just got a message this morning from someone who I thought had forgotten us, who told me how she prayed for us every night. What a blessing!

Prayers help so much with that “Gumption” thing.
