Jeremiah 29:11

“For I Know I Have Plans for You”

Our Grandson who just graduated, went to church with us Sunday morning. Another of our young members was there, as well . . . Both had U-Hauls. So we had a church parking lot seemingly full of U- Hauls.

Our Grandson on his way because he was off to the airport in Charlotte, NC to catch a plane; and our other young member because she and her fiancé just accepted teaching jobs in Charleston NC after just graduating college.

One of my friends and I looked at each other, emotionally with eyes full of tears, as we watched our kids pull off, each in their respective U-Hauls.

The other sad part is . . . this probably denotes the future of our Church as we watch our youth move on from our church to other destinations. They have bright futures, places to go and things to do . . . It’s what they must do to follow their future . . . We are proud of that, and encourage them to seek the Lord first and then seek what’s for them in the world which awaits them . . . But in the meantime, it leaves us as an aging older folks congregation.

The good news is that these young people will carry their witnesses with them . . . And like Father Abraham, God’s giving them new lands to discover, new seeds to sow and new fields to plant.

Our Grandson went with us to a healing service Saturday and talked about how powerful it was, and how he felt the Spirit. He mentioned that he felt the Power of God several times throughout his visit.

His Grandfather had words of guidance and encouragement just for him and the other young people in Church, Sunday morning.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God’s Moving . . . No U-Hauls Needed!
