“Gift of the BIBLE”
My Aunt’s Bible on the Table
When I was growing up and into my more recent years visiting my aunt’s home, the first thing I noticed in her house was the Bible and Bible stand on her coffee table.
Never mentioned this to anyone so you can imagine my complete surprise and heart filling moment when my cousin visited. The most precious thing she could have brought me, of her mom’s legacy, was the Bible and Stand. I could hardly believe it.
The other thing she brought me were hundreds of photos of the Smith Justice Family legacy.
So now I have my aunts collection and mom’s collection. Over the past few weeks, I have been electronically documenting, naming, and copying to Blu-ray Disks, SD Cards and devices to distribute to our family so they can have a better connection to other family and ancestors. Otherwise, these photos would have just been lost or forgotten . . . 1,865 photos approximately.
Sometimes I read on Facebook about family connections being broken or distant. We all have some of that. When there are “shorts” in the connections, or if I am put off, disillusioned or disappointed with someone, the first thing I do is pray for them and continue to pray for them. It’s liberating, calming and brings forgiveness and peace.
As a child I had a toy called a Jack-in-a-Box. Winding up the box with the turn handle on the side, the springs would grow tight and what a delightful moment when Jack would jump out of the box.
Through the years, I have found that people live in their own world and/or their own universe . . . That handles for springing the Jacks out of boxes belong to our Higher Power, our Lord and Master. He is the only one Who can spring people into the light and burst them forth with His well-spring of engery.
Praying for you and all our families.
Ephesians 1:18
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people”.
