Jesus, as He Said “I Am” . . . and Our Becoming

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

“Matthew 7:1-3”

Jesus said “I am”. That means He is everything He needs to be . . . but we are “Saved by His Grace . . . and becoming”. Read the Book of John where Jesus makes several statements about “I Am”.

There was an old saying when I was growing up . . . A compliment so to speak . . . If someone saw someone pretty or handsome, they would say that person is “becoming”.

After living more than a number of years, I can tell you that “becoming” is anything but “pretty”. When a person gets saved, they are not finished . . . they are becoming.
God says in Romans 3:10

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”
It is written: Matthew 7:1-3
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

As children of God, we are all becoming . . . and it is not a pretty picture . . . But is the very reason why we should not judge God’s other children and let them “become” and grow in the eyes of the Lord . . . not through our own eyes.

The process of becoming involving the “transformation” for one, is not the same process nor experience of another. What works for some people doesn’t work for others and how God works in another’s life is not the same for us as we are all being transformed, and becoming the person He wants us to be.”

When we are saved, God has not completed the work as transforms us. He does the math as he adds and takes away . . . So that, we, His children . . . can “become”.
