You will notice that there has been about a month’s time since our last post.
It has been almost 3 weeks since what I call . . . Needle surgery in the trapezius muscle . . . 7 – 10 shots, needle injection places that we could count. Even under anesthesia, I remember my statement: “What is this acupuncture?”
The first day I was numb and could hardly move. Within these few weeks, progression has been at best, slow. What I didn’t expect was . . . My hearing in the ear above the injections would completely leave me.
My husband, Nate and I bought the ear candles (which were suggested by a friend) to hopefully open my ear a week ago, Friday. I had never heard of any such a thing. The idea of putting something in my ear and having someone light the other end, had my overly cautious self imaging setting the house on fire . . . So I trembled like a scared animal as Nate and I started to proceed . . . Kept waiting for a miracle to happen . . . Nothing.
I started praying harder, telling the Lord that there has to be one person in our house who can hear and to coordinate daily routines and schedules . . . Without missing anything. . . begging the Lord to give my hearing back. Saturday, October 14th, Nate inserted another candle . . . Again nothing.
Yesterday, Tuesday, 10-17-2017, after a nap, I got up and headed for the kitchen to fix lunch . . . I started hearing a popping in my ear . . . Remarkable . . . To hear again! Remarkable . . . Thank you God from all parts of my heart.
