Leviticus 17:11
When An Angel Spoke to Me”
Yesterday, I was talking to a long lifetime friend. We generally have our testimonial moments with Bible verses, concerns and prayers for family and friends.
Even though we are old, and past the flowering of our youth, as we are praying, we seamlessly swim vigorously in the waters and streams of God’s Love, Comfort and Hope.
She started in prayer, one written on what has become yellowed frayed paper. Even though written long ago, the words were fresh as the dew, seeming to moisten our eyes, lips and passages to our hearts. The water of the prayer felt like raindrops, born to fill the wells of our soul.
I realized that my well couldn’t hold it all at that moment, that the words of her prayer needed to be saved in my heart and then savored.
“Would you read this prayer again”, I said, “And let me record it.” The recording started . . . but words of that prayer and the words of some of her other written prayers did not stop. The floodgates were opened as she prayed and sang songs, from words written long ago, from somewhere within the deep joys of her soul.
And my soul had been visited by an Angel and God remembered me, giving me the waters of His Spirit and the reminder of His Blood, shed for Us, His Children.
Leviticus 17:11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
Psalm 23:5 . . . “thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”
