Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
“BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE”
We, as normal, gregarious Americans are not at our best when living an isolated existence. Almost never, are we a one person resource or a one person success.
Consequently, the best plans and results are from we who prepare and devise methods and plans “in togetherness and as a team”. This provides powerful outcomes for each person and for one another.
Those who feel strange within their orbit, or have carelessly been received by society, and indifferently handled, will rarely, if ever feel like they can live strongly or courageously contribute. But if treated with common decency and respect, they will perform more energeticly as human beings. We all have a responsibility to each other toward this end.
On the other hand, with discipline and courtesy, people are designed for the express purpose of furthering greater possibilities under “extraordinary frictions and pressures of life”.
Though we Americans enjoy a relatively bountiful, and even luxurious standard of living in our home environments, we do not have to be pampered, spoonfed, and surfeited with every comfort and convenience to keep steadfast, once turmoil comes.
We are by nature rugged pioneers and will respond most perfectly when called upon to play a rugged part.
