“REFLECTING GOD’S GRACE”
Anyone who reads the New Testament, and especially the book of Acts, cannot help but be impressed by the zeal of the first-century Christians.
Everyone they met they told the story of Christ and the resurrected Christ, and nothing could stop them. They were hated, threatened, scourged, and imprisoned but continued to go forth unabated.
Marvelous as such dedication to Christ is, this was not the most striking characteristic of these early believers.
Their zeal and willingness to suffer for a cause has been duplicated since that time by followers of other religious systems or ideologies. But no human worship has been able to produce transformed men and women as has the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
