“Running the Race”
Running the Race, the Raven still visits. We don’t know all his journeys as we don’t know the details of each others’. But, over the years, he has been faithful, to run the distance, and show us, he is showing up.
The Apostle Paul’s writing in I Corinthians 9:24 encourages the ones who run the long distance race of faith. “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”
The author of Hebrews challenges all long-distance Christians in 12:1, “Wherefore see we also are emcompassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.”
It’s clear……not only is the Lord Jesus Christ accompanying His servants in the race of faith upon which we have entered; but, there’s an audience watching and inspired by our witnesses.
There will never be a time to fall back, lag behind, nor outright quit the long distance journey of faith. The race, we, who have committed to God in Jesus Christ, must be vigilant so that we are visible in our faith, to ourselves and to others.
