Heaven’s 7 Glorious Concepts

Seven things that absolutely will not be found in heaven….Seven things that will be found in heaven. And now, seven glorious concepts
so foreign to us here on earth, we can scarcely take them into our finite and very limited human understanding. But let’s at least try–for now?

1.) There will be a dimension of satisfaction and tranquility unknown here. Pure living water of life, flowing from the throne of God! Imagine, though we try our best, investing time and financial resources to fulfill life’s achievements, we most often feeling disappointed and disenchanted. On earth, we might say about something wonderful, “This is just too good to last.” Not in heaven!

2.) Abounding life, to think that such things as absolute love, perfect honesty, continuous goodwill and righteousness can exist? It all will in heaven! Everything will be satisfying in the economy of Almighty God. The ever-present, healing influence of God’s own presence will finally heal all injuries, especially our broken hearts!

3.) The third of seven glorious concepts will be that heaven will be the place where absolute justice and fairness will be found. God tolerates no prejudice, discrimination, scheming, conniving and favoritism: “For there is no respect of persons with God.” (Romans 2:11)

4.) And surprising though it may seem, the fourth glorious feature of heaven is our service to God Himself. All the work we do there will have divine significance and deep meaning, for all work for and with God will be Divine! What exactly this will be is not told exactly. It will be quite different from our exhaustive labors here on earth, which also often are ultimately pointless. In heaven, the smallest service for God will take on divine significance and divine destiny!

5.) Exquisite fellowship….that’s glorious concept number five of seven. Our Heavenly Father will eternally preside over His adoring children. God’s gracious character and magnificent love will draw us closer together, making us all one with Himself.

6.) Because we are faced with so much doubt and misunderstanding here in our present mortal existence, it’s almost impossible to project our thoughts to a glorious realm where all will be right and bright. We will be set free from all fears, temptations, and doubts. Why……simply because “our Father, Who (is) in heaven.”

7.) Finally, just one more glorious concept, and it’s so good it must be true! Victory in Jesus, finally! Finally, a place where all the battles, struggles, and bitter contests with sin, Satan, and self are over. The warrior of the Lord can finally come forward to accept their inheritance in Jesus Christ’s victory over the world, the flesh and the devil. Victory at last, we won the fight of faith, Jesus has overcome!

“Our Father, who art in heaven.” When Jesus taught His disciples this prayer, our Saviour wasn’t particularly thinking about some remote place far, far away. Jesus was referring to the One Whose existence was a vital part of His own life, as He said in Luke 17:20-21:

Read Luke 17:20-21
Unless we have experienced the Kingdom of God in our day-to-day lives, actually feeling at home with God here, will we ever feel comfortable with heaven’s blessings there?

Read I John 4:12-15
“Our Father, who art in heaven:” now, here!
And this can be so, if we fervently desire that it happen, here, now!
