I Corinthians 12:26

While the Graduates of the Class of 2020 were prevented “normal” graduation ceremonies, parents, and teachers and school staffs have pitched in to formulate creative (and fascinating) ways to honor their own. Leave it to love…it finds a way!

Love always finds a way! Even, or, always, in the midst of difficulty, love wins! Job lamented in Job 14:1, “Man that is born of a woman is of a few days, and full of trouble.” As though he’s asking: Is anything of benefit in the midst of suffering? Yes, there is!

Consider these. We are part of each other’s question. Our lives don’t, can’t, and won’t exist without others. I Corinthians 12:26 reminds us “And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.” Suffering binds our wounds, and binds us together!

Sin brought. a curse to the all humankind. Read Genesis 3:14-24. It’s in the Book!

Suffering wakes us up! Jesus made a special point in Luke 10:33-35, to tell His disciples to take care of those in poverty. He meant it: We are His praying partners to care for the least, the last, the lost and the lonely. We are all those. But we are not alone. He’s been there first.

Just seventy days ago our world was on a roll. Peace and plenty were taken for granted! So was “prIde.” Almost overnight, with jaw dropping speed, our comfortable world changed! As Job discovered, we too were reminded that our world is a fallen, broken place.

But as our trusting faith in the Living, Loving God reminds us in His Word, we the redeemed in Jesus Christ can use every opportunity to serve God by helping others, as we trust Him in spite of every difficulty, growing our faith and reliance and trust in our Saviour God alone.

And don’t forget, here is a divine graduation waiting for we who faithfully and patiently serve Him and His human kind. Love found a way, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:21)
