“Ray Amos – 11-13-2024 – Hebrews 11:40”
From November 13th, 2024

Rev. Ray and Pat Amos

“The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate the produce of Canaan.” Joshua 5:12

God only gives grace for daily life as it is needed. Grace that comes too early can become a burden. If God had given a year supply of the bread from Heaven, the people would have needed to preserve and transport it while on their journey. They learned that it was better to trust God day by day.

The manna stopped one day. It wasn’t because the supply was depleted, but because God was faithful. Manna was traveling bread, now it was time for some home cooking. They would soon eat from the produce of Canaan.

When God causes one blessing to cease, He already has another one prepared. If one door closes, keep the faith, there is another one about to open. Even if life on earth comes to an end for a believer; “God has planned something better for us.” (Hebrews 11:40). In this life we may lose a few things, but in Heaven we will gain all things.

“Through many dangers, toils, and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.”

Grace and Peace, Rev Ray
