“Ray Amos 8-2-2024”
From August 2nd, 2024

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.…” Ephesians 6:10-12

Ephesians is written to instruct us in how to walk together in unity as Christians. While God is a very personal God with each one of us, we can never forget that we are in His service together. There are no “Lone Rangers” in the army of God.

The Bible encourages us to be strong in the Lord together. We are in spiritual warfare. A problem seems to be that we become confused about who the enemy is. It is not flesh and blood. We don’t put on the armor of God to fight each other.

If the devil knocks a brother or sister down, we should help pick them up, not hold them down with our own self-righteous judgement. We may be the next one who needs to be picked up.

No one can, or should, fight this battle alone. First know that the battle is not ours (as much as it seems to be) it is the Lords. Put on the FULL armor of God (as described in 13-17), then stand for what is right, knowing that we are on the Lord’s side.

We must always pray and march on while we watch out for one another.

“Who is on the Lord’s side? Who will serve the King? Who will be His helpers, other lives to bring? Who will leave the world’s side? Who will face the foe? Who is on the Lord’s side? Who for Him will go?

By Thy grand redemption, by Thy grace divine, we are on the Lord’s side; Savior, we are Thine.”

Grace and Peace, Rev Ray
