“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” (Ephesians 5:14)
In the valley of dry bones, they heard the Word of the Lord, and suddenly “there was a whole lot of shaking going on” as one by one the bones responded and came back together. The vision would end with a mighty army of God’s people who had been defeated but now they were alive and strong again.
Imagine a sound coming from the valley and it is those warriors singing, “Our God is an awesome God; He reigns from heaven above, with wisdom, power, and love, Our God is an awesome God.”
Many of God’s people are going through a dry bone in the valley experience. We can easily be tired and weary of the constant battles. It seems that the breath has been knocked out of so many of the faithful who are trying to hold on.
Dear Christian friend, The Word of the Lord is “Rise Up!” Do not stay down any longer, these bones can live again! Remember that the One who lives in us is greater than the one who wants to keep us down.
“Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,
but the church of Jesus constant will remain.
Gates of hell can never against that church prevail;
we have Christ’s own promise, and that cannot fail.
Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng,
blend with ours your voices in the triumph song.
Glory, laud, and honor unto Christ the King…”
Grace and Peace, Rev Ray
