A cheerful look brings joy to the heart; good news makes for good health.
“CHEERFUL JOY”
Do you remember those special people who you were drawn to as a child? They were family or neighbor who had a genuine love for children and were just fun to be with. You were safe and loved, and the world was good. They told you stories and sang funny songs, drank your imaginary tea, and played our games.
I think that they were assigned by God to bring His Love into our lives in ways unique and unforgettable. I doubt that they knew it until they heard Him say, “Well done.”
Jesus had that effect upon children. Even in His world people seemed too busy for life and had little time for children. He took them in His arms, they laughed, and listened, and felt God. Disciples and others would shoo them off, but Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, there world is the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Thank you to the people who took time in life to be kind to a neighbor child that might have received his/her only smiles and hope from you. Jesus taught us that when you receive one of these little ones, you receive Him.
Well, my rambling time is up, but I have come to greatly appreciate people who take some of the sourness out of daily life. It is not only children who need to see a contagious grin, and hear a laughing word.
“You’ve got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
have faith, or pandemonium is
Libel to walk up on the scene”
Unless we can become as little children we may miss the joy of the kingdom of Heaven.
