The way of Jesus seems so unlike the Christianity that we see today. We seem to be in constant conflict with society, and one another. Have we forgotten that we are not Christians because of what we are against, but whom we have believed?
Christians have the power of Christ resurrection, and we can make a tremendous difference for good in this world. There is much anger and debate going on about things that we are all forced to deal with. What could really happen if the Church got out of the business of condemnation and got back to the soul saving work of offering Christ to a broken and hurting world?
Another year will be past in just two more days. Friends, we just do not have time for proving who is the right Christian and who is the wrong one. The Lord does not need us to defend the church, He is perfectly capable of doing that without our help. He sent us to work in his fields; that is where we are needed; and we are needed now!
John Wesley said, “You have one business on earth – to save souls.” It is time for Christians to rise and get back into the fields where Christ bids us go. There is good news to share, Jesus is the answer! Do we still believe this?
