Thanks to Indian Springs Baptist church for preparing and serving a great meal to 83 of our community friends today.
Music was provided by Billy Sells, Mikie Langford and Rick who is a veteran. My message was about the Ascension of our Lord on this seventh day of Easter.

Earlier today, I preached at Immanuel Lutheran church while Pastor Mary Louise Sitton was away at Synod meeting. I always enjoy being at this historic church from time to time. Immanuel church partners with Shades of Grace and provides milk on a weekly basis for our ministry. Breakfast will be served at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. Our doors will close at noon in order for our faithful volunteers to enjoy Memorial Day activities. We will resume regular schedule with breakfast on Tuesday morning.
Join us at 2:30 p.m. for a spaghetti meal with salad and desserts, prepared and served by Indian Springs Baptist church. Worship begins at 4:00 p.m. as we celebrate Ascension of our Lord, on this the final Sunday in Easter!

School is out for the Summer and a holiday weekend is upon us. Why not plan to join us for worship at Shades of Grace, a United Methodist congregation? Service is non traditional and begins at 4:00 p.m. each Sunday. Tomorrow marks the end of Easter season and we prepare for Pentecost. I will be preaching about the Ascension of the Lord. Casual attire is encouraged and the ministry is inclusive of all God’s children.
Community meal will be served from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Friends from Indian Springs Baptist church will provide and serve the meal.
On Monday, our community breakfast will be served at 10 a.m. and Shades of Grace UMC will close at noon to enjoy Memorial Day. Everyone stay safe as the celebration commences!
