Stewardship of the Life

“And it shall be said in that day: ‘Behold, this is our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us…We will rejoice and be glad in His salvation”

Isaiah 25:9

Waiting on God is not like waiting on an appointment, or in line at the store. It is, in Jesus’ words, “occupying until he returns.” That means that as Christians, we are to take stewardship of the life that he has given us here on earth. If we want to be ready when he comes, then we must practice living in His invisible presence every day.

Waiting on God means that we must face life’s challenges as they come, while believing that the eyes of God are watching us, and the unseen hand of God is holding us.

What worries, problems and trials are before you today? We can never forget how great our God is, how wide is the stretch of His arms, and how marvelous is His love.

Waiting on the Lord is how the tired, stressed, and worried renew their strength. The lord has a way of putting wings to our exhausted souls and giving us the ability to be revived as though we are soaring with the eagles.

Waiting on the Lord means coming to the end of each day with the prayer that we have done our best for Jesus; and awakening in the morning in grateful praise, and the prayer, “Speak Lord, your servant is listening. A dear friend lived with the attitude that “nothing is going to happen today that he and the Lord can’t handle.” What is our attitude for today?

“Teach me Lord to wait down on my knees.
Till in Your own good time You answer my pleas.
Teach me not to rely on what others do.
But to wait in prayer for an answer from You.”

Grace and Peace, Rev Ray.
