Christ in the Alphabet – “K”

Good morning. This is Judy. Today we look at the letter “K” as we continue our Christ in the Alphabet devotion series.

Christ is our “King of Kings.” He is the king of the world who can overcome all evil and reign in the heart of every person. If we refuse to serve Him faithfully, we are disloyal subjects. We must make Christ the king of our lives and worship Him as our Savior, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

He is the King of Glory. Christ is our “keeper.” He always keeps his promises and He is the “keeper” of our souls. Christ is our “kinsman-redeemer.” (Read the story of Ruth and Boaz in God’s Word). A kinsman-redeemer was a relative who volunteered to take responsibility of the extended family. We have a kinsman-redeemer in Jesus Christ. By his death on the cross, He has redeemed us from sin and hopelessness, thereby He purchased us to be his own possession. This, in essence, guarantees our eternal inheritance.

Have you given Christ the key to your heart and invited Him to be your King of Kings, the keeper of your soul, and your kinsman-redeemer? He promises to keep His Word to be with us always, even to our death. Be obedient and loyal to the one true King, Jesus Christ.

Let Us Pray

Lord, we desire to be an instrument of your promised Word. Help us to lead others into the Kingdom of Heaven by being loyal and true, obedient to you, our King of Glory. If we obey your Word and believe in you, the Kingdom doors will swing wide open. You will welcome us into your Kingdom as your children to live forever as a part of your family of God. We will be joint heirs with you, our kinsman-redeemer. We love, honor, and praise you, our King of Kings. In your name we pray. AMEN.
